Hopefully everyone is enjoying their summer so far along with the many events going on around the community. We’d like to take the time to highlight a couple new ways we’re keeping residents up to date on events, event changes and so on.
• Text Broadcasting– We sent out our first text broadcast on Monday, July 8th. We only have about a 1/3 of the residents receiving these. If you didn’t receive the text on the 8th and you’d like to, give the office a call so we can add your phone number to the text broadcasting list.
WATER SYSTEM
Our water system recently violated a EGLE drinking water standard. Although this is not an emergency, as our customers, you have a right to know what happened, what you should do, and what we are doing to correct this situation. Please visit the following to read the statement https://www.cadgewithfarms.info/post/important-information-about-your-drinking-water.
Currently, we do not have a finalized plan for addressing this matter. Emily is collaborating with the well drillers, engineers, and EGLE to develop a comprehensive strategy to resolve the situation. Further updates will be provided as we continue to make progress.

From the President
Greetings Cadgewith Friends!
What a fabulous summer 2024 is turning out to be! Multitudes of thanks and praise to those who helped with our Jimmy Buffett Party to make it a huge success! Suzanne & Steve Phelps, our Music Man, Steve Wilson, Tommy the Raffle Guy, and all those who helped in some way, shape or form, you did a great job and I’m so grateful for your hard work. It was wonderful meeting new people on the event committee and getting to know them. What a great way to make new friends! And we saw new faces at the event, too!
I have been blessed with some unexpected responsibilities this summer and have overextended myself with new events I’ve created, so my “plate is full.” Therefore, I’m looking for some people who are willing to give up a few hours of their time to serve on a few event committees. I will post some meeting times and dates, and if you’d like to join in on one of the meetings and see if it’s a fit for you, you’d be very welcomed. Don’t hesitate to call, no experience necessary, short planning meetings and with several people working on one event, time is minimal.
Coming up, we have Taco Tuesday, August 13, and it’s not too late to help with the planning. Tickets will be $5.
Another new event in August will be Cinnamon Roll Saturday, August 17. The price will be $3 for one or $5 for 2. Advanced orders will be tak-en until August 15. We will be offering coffee along with your delicious, homemade sweet treat at the clubhouse or you can come and pick up your order. Steve Phelps has also graciously offered to deliver your rolls. We will have a FB post to place your orders or you can text Suzanne Phelps @ (313) 587-6732 or me @ (517) 420-1438. There is no limit.
I know it doesn’t seem possible but flu season is almost upon us and Pam Jackson is sponsoring a Flu Shot Clinic through Sam’s Club again this year, September 6, 9:00-1:00. Please call her at (517) 881-0947 to schedule your appointment.
Moving forward, there will be a Garage sale September 7, so if you weren’t able to participate in the Spring Sale or you still have items to get rid of, this is for you. This is usually a smaller event, but the advertising is the same and there will be signage and maps of homes participating.
And also coming up September 20 is a silent auction. If you have some like-new items you’d like to donate, please, contact me at the number above. More details in the flyers.
Roger Jaquette will be giving a presentation on basic golf cart maintenance tips at the August 16 Association meeting, so bring your notepads and pens for this valuable information.
I never have enough space to say everything I want in the Newsletter; however, CF Association meetings provide a great oppor-tunity for residents, new and old, to obtain detailed information on upcoming events, to share your thoughts and opinions and to network with other members. We have a very diverse community and welcome your contributions, big and small. Our next Association meeting is August 16 at 6:00 pm.
Please join us! Continue enjoying our beautiful Michigan weather and all the activities our wonderful community has to offer!
Cheers and God Bless you all!
Denise Hartman, CFA President

We have decided to cancel the Bunco event at this time due to low attendance. However, we have introduced card elimination, which has proven to be a success. We look forward to seeing you at our future events. Thank you for your understanding.
Trash Removal Information
We have noticed that some residents are placing trash bags/bins out the day before. We firmly request that this practice be discontinued, as it attracts unwanted critters that tear into them and create a mess. Our trash pickup is scheduled for after lunch on Mondays, so placing bins and cans out in the morning allows ample time. Please find a copy of our rules outlined below.
Additionally, a non-dried container of paint was improperly disposed of by an individual, resulting in the can being crushed and leaking paint along one of our roads. According to Granger's regulations, all paint must be dried before disposal. For more information on the proper disposal of paints, please visit their website.
Trash Removal: Trash is removed from the community on designated days (currently
Monday afternoon). Residents are responsible for placing their trash at the proper pickup
location (end of driveways). Residents are responsible for arranging for removal of
large, bulky, heavy items at their own expense. Trash bags shall not be left outside the
home. In the event management removes trash of any kind from a resident’s home site,
management reserves the right to charge the resident additional fees for such removal.
Because of wild animals, trash bags must not be place outside by the curb until the
morning of the scheduled trash pick-up. Current trash removal company is Granger
located on wood road.
Trash Bins: Trash bins are provided by granger. Bins should be stored within the
garage or behind the garage out of view from the roadway.
